Meet the Team

Jim Catalano, PhD

CEO and Executive Coach

Jim Catalano is a nationally-recognized executive coach with more than two decades of experience helping leaders and teams reach new heights of achievement. Jim’s passion for his work is contagious, and clients around the world consider him their secret weapon.

Jim brings a unique blend of scientific expertise and business experience to his work optimizing the performance of diverse organizations. From coaching CEOs to leading team workshops to assessing organizational culture and practices — Jim is adept at helping leaders identify hidden opportunities, and partnering with clients to pursue lasting growth and impact.

While he is known for his empathy and deep listening, clients also note that Jim can be assertive at just the right moments to push them to take a critical step.

Jim’s clients currently include senior executives from the financial services, engineering consulting, healthcare, luxury goods, technology, and nonprofit sectors, as well as entrepreneurs from a variety of industries.

Before launching The Catalano Group in 2013, Jim spent more than a decade at Tiffany & Co. culminating his career there as Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness & Internal Communications. Before Tiffany, he was a leading executive coach and organizational effectiveness consultant with a client roster of Fortune 500 companies, and worked as a clinical psychologist. He holds a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University at Buffalo and a BA in Psychology and Marketing from Manhattan College. A proud New York City native, Jim has volunteered to improve leadership of nonprofits, and their Boards, in and around the city. When he’s not coaching, he’s often making and enjoying music. He has been a lead vocalist in several working bands over the years, and will sometimes sing if you ask him to.

Will Welch, MS

Chief Strategy Officer & Executive Coach

Will Welch is a seasoned executive coach with decades of experience in the science and practice of leadership and organizational development at top universities and Fortune 1000 companies. He is a trusted advisor to executives seeking to enhance their leadership skills and drive organizational success.

With a career that began in stress management research and has spanned various global companies, Will has developed a wealth of expertise in improving organizations through measuring and enhancing critical components such as leadership, company culture, employee engagement, and wellbeing. This expertise is complemented by his experience leading functions and serving on top management teams, allowing him to offer a unique and comprehensive perspective to his executive coaching clients.

Will holds a B.A. in Psychology from UCLA and an M.S. in Business Research and Organizational Behavior from Columbia Business School. He also has certifications in health coaching, DEI, change management, and the Hogan Personality Assessment, providing him with a diverse skill set that allows him to offer comprehensive guidance to his clients.

Supriti Bhandary, MA

Executive Coach

Supriti is an experienced leadership coach and talent advisor with over 25 years of partnering with successful global executives and companies. She has been very effective in helping clients develop and improve areas such as their executive presence, emotional intelligence, leadership effectiveness, managing transitions, and scaling high growth organizations.

Prior to becoming a coach, Supriti held leadership roles in her global career in Human Resources. She served as Vice President, HR at Wipro Limited, helping the company grow to a multibillion-dollar global technology consulting organization, scaling to 150,000 employees. She had overall responsibility for assessment, hi-potential accelerator programs, talent management, organization effectiveness and M&A. She has also served as an independent director on the boards of Meritor HVSIL and Automotive Axles Ltd.

Her corporate and board exposure have helped her develop a deep understanding of organizational context, personality and motivation, enhancing her ability to effectively coach leaders. She follows an eclectic coaching model, integrating cognitive and somatic approaches to enable lasting changes in mindset and behavior for clients.

Her coaching clients include leaders in diverse industries including technology, start-ups, manufacturing, retail/consumer, healthcare/pharma, retail/consumer and PE/financial services.

Supriti holds a Master’s degree in HR. She is a certified executive coach and proficient in numerous assessment tools like the Hogan suite, MBTI and LVI 360.
Supriti has a lifelong fascination with travel and is an avid student of world history.

Eric J. Dammann, PhD

Executive Coach

Dr. Eric Dammann is a coach who brings out the creative problem-solver in every client.

Over more than two decades, he has helped CEOs, managers, artists, and countless others elevate their professional performance and overcome personal hurdles. A licensed clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst with extensive training in executive coaching and financial therapy, Eric brings a depth psychology approach to every engagement — partnering with clients to uncover the causes of their challenges and guiding them on the path to transformation.

An avid musician himself, Eric has counseled dozens of artists in his career, and works to unlock the creativity in every client — whether they’re a painter or a corporate vice president. He aims to achieve a level of flow in his sessions that parallels the unspoken collaboration of musicians working together to create something spontaneous and new. His clients know him as not just a coach but as a deeply engaged thought partner.

Eric maintains an active coaching and psychotherapy practice in addition to supervising doctoral students at Columbia University and the William Alanson White Institute, while also serving as an associate editor at the Journal of Financial Therapy and Contemporary Psychoanalysis. Previously he has also been a consultant helping graduate students at the City University of New York Graduate Center complete their dissertations, and served as a partner at a financial health startup.

He graduated Magna Cum Laude and was Phi Beta Kappa at Bucknell University, and then received an M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Michigan State University. He has completed psychoanalytic training at the William Alanson White Institute and coach training at The College of Executive Coaching.
